New Delhi, Apr 8 (UNI) Raising concerns regarding the reported shortage of medicines in the hospitals and dispensaries of the national capital, Delhi Health Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Saurabh Bharadwaj on Monday said that his government will conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.
Talking to reporters, Bharadwaj said, “For several days, the media reports have been coming from the ground that there is a shortage of medicines in Mohalla clinics and hospitals.”
“I have given written directions to the Health Secretary and Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar in this regard but they are repeatedly saying that there is no shortage of medicines,” he said.
Bharadwaj further termed the lack of action from the Health Secretary and Chief Secretary as an odd thing, stating, “Several news reports claim that there is a huge shortage of medicines. We will check the ground situation in this matter.”
