New Delhi, Aug 25 (UNI) Health officials on Tuesday said it is a matter of relief that for the first time, active cases have reduced in the past 24 hours in India.
Addressing a press conference here, Rajesh Bhushan, Secretary, Union Health Ministry, said active cases were only 22.2 per cent of the total cases and the recovery rate was now more than 75 per cent.
For the first time, active Coronavirus-19 case have reduced by 6,423 within a span of 24 hours, he pointed out.
