New Delhi, Sep 5 (UNI) Union Health Minister, Dr Harsh Vardhan along with the delegates of 72nd conference of 'WHO Regional Committee for South East Asia' undertook a fitness tour to Lodhi Garden and participated in the Yoga Protocol Programme organised by New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) on Thursday.
Chairman, NDMC Vijay Kumar Dev and Secretary Rashmi Singh participated and welcomed all the delegates who had come from different parts of South East Asia.
The NDMC also launched an Educational Eco Walk of school children at Lodhi Garden in order to inculcate awareness and to bring the future generation close to the nature, so that they could get an opportunity to learn more about flora-fauna in this garden, Recycling of Water, Cultural Heritages, and Monuments etc.
Dr Vardhan interacted with the students and motivated them to imbibe Fit India Moment and to be Ambassadors for environment protection.
He also saw the open Gym commissioned by the NDMC including equipment for divyang and senior citizens.
