New Delhi, Mar 8 (UNI) Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) celebrated Women's Day with great enthusiasm, hosting a National Conference on Gender Perspectives as part of 'Viksit Bharat @2047' to mark the 'Amrit Kaal' here on Friday.
Organised by the University School of Law and Legal Studies (USLLS) in collaboration with the Viksit Bharat Cell, the conference delved into topics such as women's representation in Parliament, the impact of reservation policies, and challenges faced in local councils.
The Chief Guest, Madhu Krishna Garg, Chairperson of the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), encouraged attendees to "Invest in women to accelerate the growth of India." She urged the young audience to invest in themselves, strive for self-improvement, understand their passions, and engage in activities that bring them happiness. "Self-realisation along with economic sustainability is the key for a Viksit Bharat," she added.
