Complainant fails to show evidence against Satyendar Jain in Benami property case, fined Rs 50k

New Delhi, July 15 (UNI) Delhi Lokayukta has imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on the complainant and lawyer Neeraj for not producing evidence in the alleged case of benami property against senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Satyendar Jain, the party said in a statement on Friday.
The party said that the complainant Neeraj had accused Jain of possessing a benami property. "He raised the complaint with Delhi Lokayukta in 2017. However, the complainant could not produce any evidence to support his accusation," it claimed.
"Lokayukta has made it clear by imposing a fine of Rs 50,000 that AAP leaders have been subjected to false allegations continuously, but no evidence has been ever submitted in the court to substantiate the allegations," AAP Chief Spokesperson Shri Saurabh Bhardwaj said.
