New Delhi, Mar 8 (UNI) Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Monday presented the Outcome Budget for the year 2020-21, which showed the city-state's education and health sectors as top performers.
Sharing a status report of the progress against 1299 critical indicators in a pictorial representation, , Mr Sisodia, claimed that the education and health sectors were the top performers with each securing 84 per cent achievement.
The other top performing departments were environment (79 per cent), power (75 per cent) and PWD (73 per cent).
"Delhi is only state Govt in India that makes suo-motu disclosure across 2500+ indicators of its performance to promote transparency & accountability in public spending," Mr Sisodia said.
He claimed that outcomes for more than 75 per cent critical indicators were achieved in Education, Health, Environment and Forest departments.
The Outcome Budget which was introduced in 2017-18, aims to look at the performance of various ministries handling development programmes.
