New Delhi, Nov 9 (UNI) President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu on Tuesday greeted the people of Uttarakhand on their foundation day.
"My best wishes to the residents of Uttarakhand on the foundation day. The people of Uttarakhand are known for their simple lifestyle, honestly and humility, through their hard work they have brought the state an important place. On this occasion, my best wishes to all the residents of the state for a bright and prosperous future," Kovind wrote in a tweet in Hindi.
Taking to the micro-blogging site Twitter, the PM wrote, "Warm greetings to all my brothers and sisters of Devbhoomi on the foundation day of Uttarakhand."
Citing the progress made by the Himalayan state in the last five years under the BJP government, Modi said that he is confident that the entire decade is going to belong to Uttarakhand.
The Vice President Naidu also took to Twitter to extend his greetings and wrote, "My greetings to the people of Uttarakhand on their State Formation Day. Known as 'Devbhoomi', Uttarakhand is renowned for its rich spiritual heritage, spectacular natural beauty and warm hospitality. May the state and its people scale newer heights of progress in the times to come."
