Kharge, Rahul extend greetings to people of Odisha on Utkal Diwas

New Delhi, Apr 1 (UNI) Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and former president Rahul Gandhi on Monday extended greetings to the people of Odisha on Utkal Diwas, stating that only the Congress party can ensure a prosperous and bright future for the people of the state.

Kharge on his social media post X said, “On the occasion of Utkala Dibasa, we extend our warmest greetings and good wishes to the people of the state. Odisha is known for its riveting natural beauty, unique culture, beautiful monuments and is home to a large tribal population which values nature”.

Stating that Congress is the only party that can ensure all round development for the state, Kharge said, “Odisha needs more employment opportunities, freedom from corruption and betterment of all its people. These Assembly Elections are the opportune moment to ensure that. Only Congress party can ensure that. On this solemn day, let us pledge for a brighter future for Odisha, so that it continues to play its part in nation building”.

Meanwhile Rahul Gandhi while conveying his best wishes to the people of Odisha said that the people of the state are hardworking and have potential but they do not get the opportunity.

“The youth of the state are suffering from unemployment and the entire state has been under corruption for a long time. 2024 is the time to bring our beloved state out of these sufferings and restore progress,” Gandhi said on X.

“Together with Congress, we have to bring back the golden era of Odisha – bring the people on the path of progress,” he added.
