New Delhi, Nov 15 (UNI) Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation is organising 26th Conference of Central and State Statistical Organisations (COCSSO) on November 15-16 at Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh.
The conference will be inaugurated by Minister of State for Statistics and Programme Implementation Vijay Goel on November 15 where Himachal Pradesh Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Kishan Kapoor will also be present.
The theme of this year’s Conference is “Quality Assurance in Official Statistics”.
The conference is a major national forum for coordination between the central and State statistical agencies.
A number of papers relating to theme by Central Ministries/Departments will be presented during the Conference.
Officers from various Central/State/UT Governments, Directorate of Economics and Statistics are expected to participate in the Conference and they will share their experiences in this area, official sources said here.
