New Delhi, Apr 20 (UNI) People from different walks of life came together to support an initiative to clean the river Yamuna.
Central Government Employees, Residents, Welfare Association Joint Secretary Ajay Kumar led the programme of cleaning Hathi ghat along the river Yamuna on Wednesday. Swami Shri Priyacharya ji also supported the noble cause of Mr Kumar, who has been doing the task of cleaning the river for last couple of years.
Swami ji was in Delhi and decided to be the part of the initiative.
Mr Kumar said more people would be associated with the programme in days to come and the aim is to make river Yamuna clean. More than 50 sweepers lend the support in cleaning the one km of ghat area which took almost three hours. Municipal Corporation of Delhi was also engaged in the drive.
