New Delhi, Sep 17 (UNI) The Indian Youth Congress (IYC) on Thursday celebrated Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday as 'National Unemployment Day', to attract the government's attention towards rising unemployment.
"The 'wrong policies' of the central government led by Mr Modi made the youth of the country unemployed. Due to this, unemployment in the country is continuously increasing. On 'Unemployment Day', the youth of the country are expressing their anger against the rising unemployment from social media to the road," a statement said.
IYC National president Srinivas BV said, "Mr Modi currently parliament is yours, but the roads are still with us. Mr Modi came to power by promising to provide employment to two crore youth every year but instead of employing youth, demonetisation, GST and lockdown have taken away 12 crore youth jobs."
