New Delhi, Sep 2 (UNI) Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday met the family of Late Rajesh Kumar Bhardwaj, a pharmacist who lost his life while on Corona duty, and offered them a cheque of Rs one crore as financial assistance.
Mr Kejriwal met Rajesh's family and assured them of full support in the future. Rajesh was posted as a pharmacist with the Delhi government and had lost his life while on Corona duty.
Expressing condolences on Rajesh's demise, Mr Kejriwal also said that he is proud of all the Corona warriors like Rajesh who have laid down their lives while serving the people of Delhi.
Mr Kejriwal also tweeted, "Our Corona Warrior Rajesh Bhardwaj Ji, who was posted as a pharmacist in Delhi Government, had recently passed away due to Coronavirus. I met his family today and offered them an assistance of Rs 1 crore. I hope that the family will get some help with this amount."
Rajesh was a pharmacist posted at the CDMO Office, Nabi Karim, Central District. He and his family resided in the Faridabad area.
Rajesh succumbed to Corona in the BL Kapoor hospital in Delhi, where he was admitted after testing positive on June 29. He succumbed to Corona on July 20.
