DDA terms claims of forcing JJ dwellers to vacate their homes as false

New Delhi, Mar 7 (UNI) The Delhi Development Authority refuted the claims made against it on Thursday, stating that the allegations of asking Jhuggi Jhopri dwellers to vacate their houses within 7 days are “false and misleading.”.
“DDA has not issued any notice to dwellers in Sector 12 R K Puram,” an official statement said.
“Allegations have been made today in the media by certain public representatives that the Delhi Development Authority has issued notice to jhuggi jhopri dwellers of Sector 12 R K Puram to vacate their houses within 7 days as they were living illegally. These allegations are false and not borne by facts,” the DDA said in a statement.

New Delhi, April 26 (UNI) Over 60 percent of nearly 16 crore voters exercised their democratic rights across 88 parliamentary constituencies in the second of the seven-phase general election on Friday,
"Polling in the second phase of General Elections 2024 which commenced at 7 AM today simultaneously across 88 PCs recorded an approximate voter turnout of 60.96% as of 7 PM," apex poll body Election Commission of India (ECI) said in a media release.
