Assam Rifles jawan killed in ambush in Arunachal

Itanagar, Oct 21 (UNI) A jawan of the 6th Assam Rifles was killed in an ambush by NSCN (IM) militants in Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh on Wednesday, a police spokesperson said here.
"Today at around 0700 hrs - 0800 hrs, a group of NSCN (IM) operatives laid down an ambush against 6th Assam Rifles, at near Sanliam village area ( under Lazu circle) Tirap district. One soldier of 6th Assam Rifles achieved martyrdom," Arunachal Pradesh Police (APP) PRO Hemant Tewari said.
Notably, the militants attacked the patrolling team of Assam Rifles on the occasion of Police Commemoration Day.
