Gangtok, Jul 24 (UNI) Sikkim is observing Drukpa Tshe-Zi,today.
Governor Ganga Prasad has extended greetings to the people of Sikkim on the holy occasion.
In his message, the Governor has said, ‘Drukpa Tshe-Zi marks the day on which Lord Buddha gave his first teaching on 'Four Noble Truths' to his disciples at Sarnath turning the wheel of Dharma. Lord Buddha's approach of rational self enquiry, discipline and harmony shall continue to guide us in our life. Let us pray for enlightening our life with the teachings and sermon of 'Lord Buddha.’
The Governor has urged people of Sikkim to pray together for well being of all sentient being and also good health and early recovery of Coronavirus infected patients.
The Governor concluded his message by saying, "God will, as he has done before, heal his people and our land."
