Cuttack, Mar 1 (UNI) Brahma Kumaris are making efforts to make people realise their purpose of life, President Droupadi Murmu said on Friday.
Addressing the golden jubilee celebration of Brahma Kumaris on Friday, the President said many spiritual and religious institutions are working to spread spiritual consciousness in India.
Brahma Kumaris are also spreading eternal Indian values like non-violence, peace, harmony, brotherhood, and tolerance in India and abroad.
Murmu said she was happy to note that the Brahma Kumaris organisation is also working towards publicizing yoga and meditation across the world.
The President stated that Brahma Kumaris are spreading knowledge and promoting peace and harmony in life.
She said people today run after material pleasures as they think that happiness means only materialistic happiness, adding that we can attain real happiness only when we limit our material desires.
She stated that one does not need to abandon their worldly duties to pursue spirituality.
