Patna, Nov 15 (UNI) President Ram Nath Kovind today exhorted young technocrats to use their intellectual energy on innovations and new technologies to put India on high trajectory growth.
Mr Kovind while addressing the 8th convocation of National Institute of Technology (NIT) here, said that innovations and new technologies were the engines of growth for any country in new trends. Innovations and new formats of technology were posing challenge to conventional form of engineering and those adopting it were getting good results, he added.
"It is time for engineering students to focus on artificial intelligence, block chain
technology, big data analytics, machine learning, bio technology and robotics,"the President said, adding that younger generation of technocrats could put India on high trajectory growth by utilising the great opportunities in this new arenas of engineering and technology.
There was no doubt on merits of young technocrats and they could easily achieve success in these sectors if they worked hard with dedication, he noted.
"It is heartening to note that our technocrats are drawing new lines of success and achievements in technology hubs from Singapore to Silicon valley in US," Mr Kovind said, adding that such development had made India proud on international front.
It was also expected that young technocrats would also achieve a new high in Information Technology Enabled Services (ITES) as they had the required level of quest and expertise to do so, he noted.
President said that there was an era of digital economy in the country and government had also rolled out schemes like Make-in-India, Start-up-India and Mudra Yojna to encourage young entrepreneurs. They should take all advantages of such schemes launched by the government as they are fully qualified and equipped to utilise these opportunities, he felt.
