TIPRA Motha, the opposition party in Tripura, to join the BJP -led govt

Agartala, Mar 6 (UNI) The principal opposition of BJP-ruled Tripura, TIPRA Motha, is set to become the newest partner of the National Democratic Alliance ahead of the Lok Sabha poll, as two legislators of the former party have decided to join the Dr. Manik Saha-led BJP-IPFT government.
According to the report, Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu is scheduled to administer the oath of office and secrecy to the incumbent leader of the opposition, Animesh Debbarma, and senior TIPRA legislator Brishaketu Debbarma on Thursday at Raj Bhavan in a simple ceremony as ministers, for which the Chief Minister deferred his pre-schedule political program in West Bengal for a day.
Dr. Saha was supposed to leave for Malda tonight via Kolkata, but due to the cabinet induction ceremony, he postponed the trip. The governor will also leave the state for a few days on Thursday after the swearing-in ceremony. The sudden decision of Motha’s induction into the state cabinet was made following the direction of BJP headquarters.
