SDF demands coronavirus fund, NPR and clarification on excessive borrowing from state govt in Assembly session

Gangtok,Sep 20 (UNI) Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) today spoke about a host of issues, it wants the ruling Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) party and the state BJP to take up during the assembly session on Monday
Party Spokesperson MK Subba said here in a press meet that in the Assembly session starting Monday, ‘Citizens Protection Act’ should be introduced and the state should follow example of other Notheast states who have compiled own National Population Register (NPR) and have given it to Centre.
NRC should only be in place with Sikkim Subject Act 61 and Residential Certificate rules.

Patna, Apr 26 (UNI) Scorching heat appears to have affected polling percentage during the second phase of Lok Sabha elections in five seats in Bihar, as only 58.58 percent electorate exercised their franchise compared to 62.92 percent in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, which is 4.34 percent less this year.
