Mizoram BJP files FIR against "baseless" video

Aizawl, Mar 12(UNI): The youth wing of BJP in Mizoram on Tuesday accused political parties in the Christian-majority state of attempting to portray the BJP as an "anti-Christian party" by making baseless allegations.
In a statement issued here, the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) announced that it had filed an FIR against individuals responsible for circulating a video on social media depicting a man being beaten to death by a mob.
"The video falsely claimed that it showed a Christian man being assaulted by BJP workers in Uttar Pradesh when in reality, it was footage of a man accused of theft being attacked by a mob in Punjab," the statement clarified.
