Hemant Govt. signals soon changes in Domicile Policy

Ranchi, Aug 13 (UNI) Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Thursday dropped ample hints that his government was planning to make changes in the domicile policy of the state.
Talking to reporters outside the project building, he said that the domicile policy framed by the previous government has always remained in questions and even the people protested against it on the road therefore it is important to have a detailed understanding of this domicile policy which remained disputed. He said the government is once again pondering over the domicile policy and is looking into the changes which can be executed in it and after understanding all the aspects the government will take a decision to make a changes in the policy.
In a meeting of the state cabinet which was held few months earlier, it was decided that changes would be brought in the domicile policy which was executed under the previous government of Raghubar Das in the state. It was decided that a three-member sub committee of cabinet ministers would be formed to define the new domicile of policy and the Chief Minister was authorised to decide the name of the ministers who would be part of the sub committee. The statements given by the Chief Minister on Thursday has indicated that soon the names of the ministers would be finalised and the sub committee would get into its work of finalising the new domicile policy.
