Bihar : BJP intending to scrap constitution it will not get more than 150 seats: Rahul

Bhagalpur, Apr 20 (UNI) Accusing BJP-led NDA of intending to scrap the constitution, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said the INDIA alliance was contesting the Lok sabha election on the plank of protecting the constitution to save the democracy and claimed that the NDA would not get more than 150 seats.
Expressing confidence and solidarity in the Indian Constitution, Gandhi while addressing a rally in Bhagalpur on Saturday said that the INDIA alliance was strongly fighting against the RSS BJP and a few millionaires of the country who were conspiring to scrap the constitution as well as democracy from the country.
He said the Dalits, poor and adivasis got plenty of opportunities due to the constitution and once it was scrapped all the facilities would be withdrawn from them, realising that the INDIA Alliance was trying to protect the constitution and was fighting to save it.
Gandhi said that the income of 70 crore people of the country was only Rs 100 under the regime of Prime Minister Narendra Modi whereas the entire money has been given to the corporate giants Ambani and Adani during the 10-year rule of Modi. He alleged that Modi was cleverly diverting the attention of the people to hand over the nation's funds in the hands of 10 to 13 tycoons leaving the small business class in the lurch. He further added that the ports, solar power, mines, energy sector, defence and sectors have been given to Adani.
Referring to the claims of the BJP regarding getting more than 400 seats, Gandhi asserted that it will hardly get 150 seats and not more than that in the election.
Highlighting the programmes of the INDIA Alliance Gandhi promised to give the same amount of money to the poor as Modi provided to 10 to 15 industrialusts. He said Modi waved off Rs 1600000 crore loan of 20 to 25 people adding that the amount is 25 times more than the loan of the farmers that was waved off by the Congress.
The financial benefits given to the business personnel were at par with the amount of 25 years of MGNREGA he said and promised to give the same benefit to the poor.
The Congress leader said that one woman inmate of every poor family in the country will get Rs 1 lakh annually and the amount @ Rs 8500 would be directly transferred into their bank account every month. For this, he said the Congress will prepare a list of the poor family across the country.
Gandhi alleged that Modi made the country a hub of unemployed and the ward of only affluent people were getting the opportunity of employment through apprenticeship. Promising to give employment to every graduate and diploma holder, Gandhi said his government would provide the opportunity of 1 year of apprenticeship to the graduate and diploma holder youth of the country at the rate of Rs 8500 monthly stipend. Those with satisfactory performance during the first year will be given permanent jobs either in private or public or in the government sector. This scheme would provide trained workmanship in the country.
Speaking about the plight of the farmers Gandhi said Modi had to withdraw the "draconian" law it had introduced in the farming sector following the strong protest by the farmers. Assuring to waive off the loan of the farmers Gandhi said that his government would ensure guaranteed MSP on the produce of the farmers.
He also lambasted the Modi government for introducing the Agni Veer scheme in the Army saying that it has created two types of Martyrs and announced to scrap the scheme after coming to power.
Speaking about the GST he said the country was really under five kinds of GST and announced to implement uniform tax in the country scrapping the GST.
He promised to double the wages of Asha and Anganwadi workers. The Congress leader said that after coming to power the minimum wages would be made Rs 400 per day.
Gandhi appealed to the voters to vote in favour of Congress candidate Ajit Sharma contesting from the Bhagalpur Loksabha seat and the other candidates of INDIA Alliance namely Bhima Bharti, Tariq Anwar and Jaiprakash Yadav.
