Sonowal apprises Governor on prevailing state situation

Guwahati, Aug 29 (UNI) Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today met Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi at the Raj Bhavan here and apprised him of the prevailing situation in the state.
Sonowal and Prof. Mukhi had wide ranging discussion on several issues especially on development of the state, accountable functioning of the public delivery organizations and implementation of the important schemes and projects of the Central and State governments.
The Chief Minister briefed the Governor about status of implementation of different welfare schemes of both the Central and State governments and how steps have been taken to ensure that the fruits of development reach the grass root of the society.

Patna, Apr 26 (UNI) Scorching heat appears to have affected polling percentage during the second phase of Lok Sabha elections in five seats in Bihar, as only 58.58 percent electorate exercised their franchise compared to 62.92 percent in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, which is 4.34 percent less this year.
