PM Modi lays foundation stone & dedicates to nation multiple development projects in Dhanbad

Dhanbad (Jharkhand), Mar 1 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday laid the foundation stone and dedicated to the nation multiple development projects worth Rs 35,700 crores in Sindri in this district.
The development projects of today encompass the sectors of fertilizer, rail, power, and coal. Modi inspected the HURL Model and also took a walkthrough of the Sindri Plant Control Room.
Addressing the function organized at Sindri Haral in Dhanbad district, the Prime Minister said, 'I had said that this fertilizer plant in Sindri will definitely be started, it was Modi's guarantee, and today this guarantee has been fulfilled.'
He also said that he had come to lay the foundation stone of this plant in 2018. Today, not only started the Sindri fertilizer plant, but thousands of new employment opportunities have been created.
With the dedication of this fertilizer plant, India has taken a step towards self-reliance in the field of urea.
The Prime Minister said that 360 lakh metric tonnes of urea is required in the country. When the NDA government was formed at the Centre in 2014, only 225 metric tonnes of urea was produced in the country, due to which urea had to be imported.
Therefore, it was resolved to restart the closed fertilizer plant in Sindri and make the country self-sufficient in the field of urea.
With the efforts of the government, 310 metric tonnes of urea have now been produced. This will not only save money but will also meet the needs of the farmers, Modi added.
