Kolkata, Mar 17 (UNI)The Sub-Divisional Sessions court, Basirhata on Sunday granted five-day custody of Sheikh Alamgir, brother of Sahjahan Sheikh and his two associates to CBI.

S Alamgir, Mafujar Molla, President of Trinamool Congress student wing of Sandeshkhali Block-1, and Sirajul Molla, a resident of the same area were arrested by CBI after being questioned for hours at the Nizam Palace on Saturday.
The trio was arrested after they allegedly non-cooperated in the ongoing probe into the attacks on the Enforcement Department (ED) officials in front of the resident of Sahjahan Sheikh on January 5.
Meanwhile, the CBI on Sunday began a fresh raid at Sandeshkhali in search of more clues into the attacks on the ED officials.
Sources said the federal agency had gone to Sanjay Mondal's house and spoken to his family members about the investigation, which is underway following a Calcutta High Court order.
Mondal, who was arrested recently is now in jail custody, sources added.
