Meghalaya police seize more explosives

Shillong, Mar 13 (UNI) After the arrest of four members from the Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council’s (HNLC) sleeper cell, Meghalaya police on Wednesday recovered more explosives and incriminating materials belonging to the outlawed militant outfit.
Police said that the recoveries were made after one of the arrested HNLC’s sleeper cell Damanbha Ripnar alias Shall Lapang led to the cache.
“We seized a small arm, several gelatin sticks, detonators and ignition fuses alongside HNLC flags, and other incriminating materials from Damanbha’s house at Sonidan village under Umsohlait police station,” Jagpal Singh Dhanoa, the district police chief of Ri-Bhoi, said.
