Hardcore ULFA leader held in Assam

Guwahati, Jul 13 (UNI) A hard-core ULFA(I) militant was arrested by a joint team of Assam Rifles, army and police near Lalpahar, Lekhapani, in Tinsukia district of Assam yesterday.
Based on a specific input regarding presence of an ULFA(I) insurgent, the team launched an operation in the area, a defence release said here today.
During the search, one insurgent identified as a 'colonel' of ULFA(I) was apprehended.
