159 new Covid cases, 158 recoveries recorded in Manipur

Imphal, Nov 26 (UNI) In the past 24 hours, 159 persons (119M, 40F) from general population were confirmed as new COVID-19 positive cases.
The positive cases from general population were from Imphal West (73), Imphal East (43), Thoubal (11), Bishnupur (11), Kakching (1), Tamenglong (3), Ukhrul (2), Churachandpur (1), Senapati (2), Chandel (2), Tengnoupal (4), Jiribam (4) and Kangpokpi (2). All were locals without any significant travel history.
In the last 24 hours, four persons aged 75 yrs (female, Churachandpur), 68 yrs (male, Imphal West), 40 yrs (male, Bishnupur) and 55 yrs (male, Imphal West) expired at District Hospital Churachandpur, RIMS and JNIMS Hospital (2) respectively. The cumulative number of deaths was 249.
