Work for society at large: Manipur CM urges government employees, legislators

Imphal, June 11 (UNI) Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh on Saturday urged legislators and government employees to change their mindset about belonging to some community or village and work for the benefit of the society at large so as to ensure the State's progress.
"We need to build a united front in the State. Once we are in the State government service or become a legislator we should start thinking as a Manipuri and should not restrict ourselves to our community or village.
"We need to come out of thinking and working only for our community or village, but instead work for the whole society to encourage unity, oneness in the State and country," he said, after inaugurating a 30-Bedded Psychiatry Ward, Public Shed and Child Care Centre at Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences, JNIMS here.
