Lockdown in Bihar extended till August 16

Patna, Jul 30 (UNI) In view of a surge in COVID-19 positive cases in Bihar, the state government extended the lockdown for a period of 16 days from August 01 till August 16.
A notification issued today by the Home Department of the state government read that exercising the powers conferred upon the state governments by the Centre, the government has decided to extend the lockdown with additional restrictions till August 16 in the state headquarter, district headquarters, sub-divisional headquarters, block headquarters and Municipal areas of the state.
The notification issued in view of the present situation of COVID-19 allowed all government offices to function with the 50 per cent strength of employees. The government has also ordered to open private offices with 50 per cent staff strength.
