COVID-19 claims more than 1000 lives in Bihar so far

Patna Oct 19 ( UNI) With 7 death being reported due to coronavirus infection during the past twentyfour hours, the causalities due to COVID 19 increased to 1003 in Bihar so far.
According to the health department sources Gaya, Patna, Nalanda, Samastipur, Jamui, Muzaffarpur and Purnea reported 1 casuality each during the period.
Of the 1003 casualties Patna reported with 246 fatalities due to this infection so far followed by Bhagalpur with 65, Gaya 47 ,Nalanda 46, Munger 39, East Champaran 38, Rohtas and Vaishali 36 each, Muzaffarpur 35, Bhojpur and Saran 34 each, Samastipur 31 , Begusarai 27, Darbhanga 25, Madhubani 21, Siwan 20 , Nawada, Araria and West Champaran 17 each, Buxar 13, Banka 12, Katihar, Jehanabad, Khagaria, Supaul and Sitamarhi , Aurangabad and Sitamarhi 11 each, Madhepura, Purnea and Kishanganj 10 each, Kaimur 9, Lakhisarai, Saharsa and Arwal 8 each, Sheikhpura and Jamui 7 each, Gopalganj 3 and Sheohar 1.

Patna, Apr 26 (UNI) Scorching heat appears to have affected polling percentage during the second phase of Lok Sabha elections in five seats in Bihar, as only 58.58 percent of the electorate exercised their franchise compared to 62.92 percent in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, which is 4.34 percent less this year.
