COVID-19 tally crosses 82 thousand in Bihar

Patna, Aug 10 (UNI) COVID-19 cases continue to surge in Bihar where 3021 new positive cases were detected, taking the tally of coronavirus positive patients to 82741 in the state so far.
Health department sources said here today that of the new cases Patna reported with 402 cases taking the tally in the district to 13890. Patna is followed by Begusarai with 171, Buxar 169, Vaishali 149, East Champaran 141, Samastipur 116, Muzaffarpur 114, Saran 113, West Champaran 108, Jehanabad 97, Saharsa 96, Nalanda 93, Gaya 92, Rohtas 87, Bhojpur 83, Bhagalpur 74, Sheikhpura 70, Purnea and Shaul 67 each, Khagaria 66, Gopalganj and Munger 64 each, Madhubani 61, Siwan 56, Kishanganj 54, Aurangabad and Darbhanga 45 each, Banka 39, Araria 36, Sitamarhi 26, Madhepura 25, Arwal 24, Kaimur 21, Sheohar 19, Nawada 18, Jamui 17 and Katihar and Lakhisarai 14 each.
Among these cases samples of four persons including one each of Delhi, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh were collected and examined at different places in Bihar.
