Chhapra, Nov 1(UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said overwhelming support extended by people in the first phase of polling for Assembly Elections, had set the motion for NDA's return to power in Bihar, which left opposition shaken and perplexed in the state.
Mr Modi while addressing a huge public rally here in support of NDA candidates for the ongoing Bihar assembly Elections said that the people extended their overwhelming support in first phase of polling on October 28 which set the motion for return of NDA to power in Bihar again.
The excitement of the people in public meeting was an indication that they had started celebrating the return of NDA to power which was certain after first phase of poling, he added.
Prime Minister said that opposition leaders in Bihar were perplexed and disturbed following the huge support extended by the people in first phase of polling on October 28.
There was visible gloom on their faces and one of them even started misbehaving with his own party worker, Mr Modi remarked while making an oblique reference to RJD leader Tejasvi Prasad Yadav who had forcibly pushed away a party worker in a public meeting while he was trying to take a selfie with him.
Mr Modi said that people were not prepared to return to the dark age of lantern when kidnapping for ransom had taken the shape of an industry.
