General Observer undertakes foot march to remote polling stations in Arunachal’s Dibang Valley

Itanagar, Apr 6 (UNI) In a remarkable display of dedication and commitment, the General Observer for Anini Assembly Constituency in Arunachal Pradesh’s Dibang Valley district, HN Gopalakrishna, IAS embarked on a foot march to visit polling stations, including those situated in remote areas to ensure inclusivity and integrity of the electoral process.
Arunachal Pradesh is going to vote on April 19 in the first of the seven-phase polling to elect its two members of Parliament and the 60-member Assembly. The ruling BJP, however, opened its account by securing 10 Assembly seats unopposed without a single vote being cast.
Accompanied by a team of officials, the General Observer traversed challenging terrain to reach polling stations nestled in remote areas. The foot march provided a firsthand understanding of the unique challenges faced by voters and election officials in these areas.
