Four BJP workers injured in fight with two allies in Tripura

Agartala, Apr 7 (UNI) A fight between two alliance partners, the BJP and TIPRA Motha, in Mandai, West Tripura, on Saturday left at least four supporters of the former party injured, which triggered serious resentment among BJP workers ahead of the Lok Sabha polls scheduled for April 19 and 26.
A month ago, TIPRA Motha founder royal scion Pradyot Kishore Debbarma after a series of meetings with top brasses of BJP in New Delhi joined the party and BJP also made his elder sister from Chhattisgarh Kriti Singh Debbarma as it’s nominee in East Tripura (Tribal reserved) constituency.
Motha leaders said sudden move of Pradyot and hurriedly joining hands with BJP was not accepted at the ground level allegedly because BJP didn’t keep its promise towards tribals since 2018. BJP-TIPRA Motha alliance couldn’t make the senior party leaders of both parties happy and lower level of the party workers became upset, they claimed.
