INDIA Bloc launches joint campaign against BJP in Tripura

Agartala, Mar 22 (UNI)Eight parties of the INDIA bloc on Friday launched a joint campaign for two Lok Sabha seats of Tripura, and by-elections to Ramnagar Assembly constituency targeting to reach every booth of the state against BJP candidates, said senior Congress legislator and INDIA bloc convener Sudip Roy Barman.
Terming the BJP-led NDA as a “fascist force”, Roy Barma urged the voters to apply their minds and vote “judiciously” in favour of the INDIA bloc candidates in the Lok Sabha elections against the ruling BJP. He criticized the central government for mobilizing ED to arrest the Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal and alleged, “Modi and Amit Shah are riding on a mad horse, forgetting the democratic tradition of India.”
“Despite having differences on ideological grounds, we come together to save the Constitution, democracy, secularism and federal nature of the country besides for the sake of the overall interest of the people,” Roy Barma, a former BJP minister, told the media.
