Ruling BJD awards Balasore LS seat to former BJP leader Lekhashree Samantsinghar

Bhubaneswar, Apr 11 (UNI) The ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Thursday announced Lekhashree Samantsinghar, who recently quit BJP to join BJD, as the party candidate for the Balasore Lok Sabha seat.
With the announcement of the party candidate for the Balasore Lok Sabha seat, the ruling BJD has finalized candidates for all the 21 Lok Sabha seats in the state in three phases.
The Opposition BJP had already announced party candidates for all 21 Lok Sabha seats, while the other Opposition Congress had so far named candidates for only eight Lok Sabha seats.
