Mamata spreading lies on CAA : Rajnath

Murshidabad, Apr 21 (UNI) Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on
Sunday came down heavily on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, accusing her of spreading lies about the CAA and misguiding people, particularly the Muslim community.
None in the earth can stop the implementation of granting Indian citizenship to those refugees, who left Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan on religious ground, Singh stated.
Addressing a BJP rally in favour of party candidate Gauri Shankar
Ghosh, Singh during his maiden election rally in Bengal said the
state under Mamata Banerjee was having lawlessness and cited the Sandeshkhali "torture" on the women.
" It is surprising how a state like Bengal under the leadership of a
woman chief minister can have such inhumanity and brutality on the mothers and sisters in the society, " Singh said and assured the people that the perpetrators of Sandeshkhali would not go scot free once the BJP was voted to power in the state.
Singh said Bengal was now notoriously known as the hub for "crime and communal tension"
owing to the regime of TMC for the past decades and assured the once
the BJP was voted to power
none will dare to repeat the crime like Sandeshkhali.
" What kind of she is (Mamata), she has only name but in heart and
mind she has lost all such kindness for the
poor and common people, " the Defence minister alleged.
Singh alleged that Mamata Banerjee was pursuing those minority people, who returned home to celebrate Eid after a month of fasting, not to vote and go back to their respective working places outside the state.
" I should say many a poll predictions have opined that the BJP is winning 30 seats in the Lok Sabha poll in 2024, " Singh
said and appealed to the people to ensure that PM's
various welfare schemes, which were not implemented by the TMC, were extended in future.
Recalling Narendra Modi's commitment towards West Bengal, Singh said
after the death of PM's mother on December 30, 2022 in Gujarat, Modi after performing her last rites in this state unveiled various projects of Rs 7800 Crore, including modernisation of Railways system.
Singh also accused Mamata Banerjee of using central schemes and
putting Bengal brand, that too were being siphoned off by the party
cadres
depriving the common and poor people.
" I am not sure if the TMC is the Congress as Jawahar Lal Nehru and
Indira Gandhi's slogans Garibi Hatao did not materialis across India
and
in Bengal the condition of the people has touched the rockbottom due to
prevailing lawlessness, corruption, cut money culture and siphoning off
funds from
all the development schemes, " Singh underlined.
Singh assured the Murshidabad people to return and bow his head after
they voted for the BJP candidates to ensure 30 seats in West Bengal.
