Itanagar, Apr 24 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh recorded about 80 percent voter turnout in the repolling held at eight polling stations spread across four Assembly constituencies on Wednesday, amid tight security arrangements, an election official said.
The repolling was conducted at one polling station each under Bameng and Nyapin Assembly constituencies, two in Rumgong, and four under Nacho Assembly segment - all under Arunachal West Parliamentary Constituency.
“The voting that started at 6 am in the morning concluded at 2 pm peacefully without any untoward incident,” Arunachal Pradesh Joint Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Liken Koyu said, while adding that the overall voting percentage is 79.8 per cent.
