Tripura’s GST collection increased by 16.07 pc

Agartala, Feb 28 (UNI) Tripura registered a significant growth in the collection of various forms of taxes in the current fiscal year; so far, it has increased by 16.07 percent, state finance secretary Apurba Roy said here on Wednesday.

GST collection in Tripura increased to Rs 3303.58 crore till January this year, from Rs 2846.31 crore last year. The collection of excise duty rose to Rs 327.90 crore against last year’s collection of Rs 298.08 crore. Tax from the transport sector has increased to Rs 108.69 Cr, which was Rs 96.11 Cr last year.
