Rs 3000 Cr Water project to be taken up in Manipur: CM Biren

Imphal, April 26 (UNI) Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh on Tuesday said State Government had taken up Water Supply Scheme, worth around Rs 3000 crore funded by New Development Bank, under the Jal Jeevan Mission-Har Ghar Jal Scheme.
He said that the said project for Ukhrul District had been included in Phase-2 with a total cost of Rs 95 crore. Of it Rs 22 crore would be for proper Ukhrul only, he added.
He also announced that the State Government had proposed two ropeway projects under Parvatmala: National Ropeways Development Programme of the Central Government including Shiroy – Ukhrul – Mahadeva Ropeway and Loktak Ropeway.
