National Science Day on indigenous technologies held in Meghalaya

Shillong, Feb 28 (UNI) The State Council of Science, Technology, and Environment (SCSTE), Meghalaya, in collaboration with the Shillong Science Centre and the Science Department of Shillong College, observed National Science Day 2024 on Wednesday under the theme ‘Indigenous Technologies for Viksit Bharat’ at the State Convention Centre here.
“It is great to see the enthusiasm of educators and students for education and the advancement of knowledge in science and technology. The initiatives of the government and contributions of Indian scientists indeed play a crucial role in motivating students and advancing technology,” State Education Minister Rakkam A. Sangma observed.
“Keeping up with the latest technologies and having a global standard are key aspects of learning and innovation,” the minister underscored, and he urged the students to not only learn but also apply scientific concepts in their daily lives to make learning more engaging and impactful.
