Tripura police looking for 35 yrs old auto driver of raping 90–yr-old lady

Agartala, Oct 31 (UNI) Police could not yet trace out the 35 –yr-old auto driver Anjan Nama who has been accused of raping a 90 –yr-old woman in Barahaldi village of Kanchanpur in North Tripura on Oct 24 last.
Superintendent of Police (North) Bhanupada Chakraborty said the accused has been on run but police launched investigation soon after registering FIR under section 376 and 448 of IPC. The victim was taken to hospital and now she is alright.
According to report, the incident took place during Durga puja last week but it came to light only after the relatives of the victim took her to police station and lodged an FIR against one Anjan Nama of Barahaldi village and his other companion.

under 15 years of age, have been detected and are under treatment,500
Grown ups are also found infected ,212 out of these are under
treatment,110 persons lost their lives to HIV /AIDS , during the
Corona wave year . But miraculously 18 AIDS infected mothers,have
delivered babies devoid of the HIV/AIDS,with wonderful ‘Elimination of
transmission mother to Child’. Question arises is anything being done
for Awareness,despite Corona ?
Sikkim State AIDS control society has come up with novel way of
generating awareness about the dreaded disease HIV/ AIDS.All different
wings of the Society are also carrying out relevant activities.

Two COVID-19 related deaths, six new cases, 420 inoculated in Meghalaya

Shillong, Jan 21 (UNI) Two COVID-19 related deaths in Shillong took the number of persons who died due to the pandemic up to 146 with 1.06 per cent case fatality rate and four more infections added up to 129 active cases, even as six recoveries surged the recovery figure from the viral disease to 13,455 in Meghalaya on Thursday.
