Ten naxals held in Bihar; Arms, ammunitions recovered

Munger, Sep 5 (UNI) Altogether ten extremists of a banned naxal organisation Communist Party of India (Maoist) were arrested in a joint operation of Munger police and Special Task Force from Bhaisakol Jakhraj Asthan More under Shampur Police Outpost here on Saturday.
Police superintendent Lipi Singh said here that firearms including AK-47 rifles, Insas rifles, one rifle of point 315, 21 detonators one rifle of point 22, one musket, one semi-automatic pistol, 300 live cartridges of SLR, letter-heads of the naxal organisation and other firearms were recovered from the possession of the arrested extremists.
She said that the extremists had to hand over the arms and ammunitions to the Area Commander of CPI(Maoist) Bahadur Kora who along with his colleagues were recently engaged in recruitment of youth in the naxal organisation on war-footing in remote rural areas of the district.
