Death toll rises to two in Patna civil court transformer blast case

Patna, March 14 (UNI) Lawyers of Patna Civil Court have proceeded on an indefinite strike after the death of an injured assistant of an advocate during treatment, which increased the toll to two in the transformer blast case that took place two days back.
Legal assistant (Munshi) of an advocate Prakash Kumar succumbed to his injuries during treatment in Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) on Wednesday. Lawyers of Patna Civil Court proceeded on an indefinite strike soon after they learnt about death of the Munshi.
An advocate Devendra Prasad had died on the spot while some others sustained serious injuries when explosion took place in transformer installed at gate number 1 of Patna Civil Court on Tuesday. Those injured are being treated in Patna Medical College and Hospital(PMCH).

At least 650 houses damaged by hailstorm so far

Aizawl, Apr 28(UNI) At least 650 homes including 51 houses in Tualpui and Vanka villages of northeastern Khawza distrrict have been ravaged by rain accompanied by massive hailstorm and gusty wind in Mizora on Saturday morning
Sources said 24 houses houses have been destroyed in Tualpui and 27 houses damaged in Vankal village when a heavy hailstorm hit the two villages at around 2 AM on Saturday morning.
