Himachal to fill up 2400 posts of SMC teachers

Shimla, Mar 7 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Cabinet, held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, on Thursday approved a proposal to recruit 2401 SMC teachers through limited direct recruitment on a contract basis.
The SMC teachers will be regularized in government service after completing a stipulated period as per government policy. The Cabinet also gave its approval to fill up 985 posts of Lecturer (Computer Science).
In another decision, the cabinet decided to provide Rs. 1500 per month to all eligible women of the State in the age group of 18-59 under the Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi scheme thereby fulfilling the guarantee given by the Congress Party to the womenfolk during Assembly elections in 2022.
