Mizoram receives short payment of Rs 2,370 cr during Pandemic years

Aizawl, Mar 12 (UNI) Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma, who also holds the Finance portfolio, on Tuesday informed the state legislative assembly that the state government has received short payment of Rs 2,370.80 crore from the central government during the Covid-19 pandemic years.

Replying to a question from Robert Romawia Royte, of the opposition Mizo National Front (MNF), Lalduhoma said short receipt of payment included Rs 867.39 crore from the state's share of central taxes during 2019-20 , Rs 957.41 crore during 2020-21, and Rs. 546 crore under the 15th Finance Commission Special Grants.
