Bihar govt will consider Dr Krishna Singh's name for Bharat Ratna award: Speaker

Patna, March 1 (UNI) Bihar assembly speaker Nand Kishore Yadav on Friday said that the state government will consider the name of Dr Shri Krishna Singh, the first Chief Minister of the state and known as Bihar Kesari, while recommending names for conferring Bharat Ratna award in future.
Moving a private bill in the house, MLA Kundan Kumar demanded Bihar Government to recommend the name of Dr Sri Krishna Singh to the Centre for conferring Bharat Ratna, the highest civilian award in the country.
In support of his demand Kumar outlined the contributions of Dr Singh saying that the contributions of the first chief minister in building the Nation and for development in various sectors of Bihar including agriculture, education and in industrialisation was immemorable.
