Arunachal - blessed land of numerous tribes: Guv

Itanagar, Apr 5 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt General (Retd) KT Parnaik has said that the hilly state of Arunachal Pradesh is a blessed land of numerous tribes who have maintained their customs and traditions over the years.
They have been zealously preserving their indigenous cultural heritages, said the Governor while participating in the Galo community’s Mopin Festival celebration at Itanagar on Friday.
Besides greeting the community members on the festive occasion, the Governor, accompanied by his better half Anagha Parnaik offered prayers to invoke the blessings of Mopin Goddess, Anyi Pinku Pinte for better crops, proliferation of domestic animals, and preservation of nature.
