Retrenched Tripura teachers decide to join school on Aug 12

Agartala, Aug 10 (UNI) The terminated teachers of 10,323 group who had lost the job following the decision of high court of Tripura in 2014, on Wednesday announced to re-join the service to their respective schools from Friday claiming the high court order didn’t sack them en masse rather it was misinterpreted by a group of officers.
Addressing the media Biswajit Banik, a teacher among the 10, 323, alleged that they had filed a petition in the Supreme Court where it was clearly mentioned that they were not sacked as per the court order. The high court had scrapped the job whose service was challenged by a group of deprived aspirants.
“We will join our schools on August 12 next as through an RTI in Supreme Court we got to know that we didn’t lose our job, neither the government has sacked us. In the RTI response it was mentioned that we were not the party of the case, hence en masse losing of service is not valid,” Banik claimed.
